Conversation with Design Leaders: GEMS Alumni Jack Roberts - Webinar - Shared screen with gallery view
Hi everyone. Thank you for joining. We will be starting shortly.
Do you feel story telling is limited in objectivity creude in its assumptions and vague in its generalization to the extent that it leads to more isolation, "echo-chambering" and polarization instead of integration and synthesis?
How does the program try to bring different polarities together not in a parochial way or towards a parochial purpose?
My God Jack you so naturally answer and address my questions without even reading them!!!!! Amazing!
"No man is free who is not master of himself." -Epictetus How has the program helped you master yourself and all your gifts? In what ways did it liberate you?
How Do you manage the "antithesis" aspect of the dialectical process in an integrative and inclusive way as opposed to a combative and thus unproductive and destructive way?
You just said the "thesis-antithesis-synthesis"!!!! are you reading my mind????? Wow....
In any case how can you be dialectically synthetic in a world of "safe spaces", "super-sensitivity", "stereotyping"?
"The permission to start over. Make more space for grace." I couldn't agree more. Thank you, Jack!
Question on the program: Is the program online... and the travel part and connections across the world is the hands-on part?
Can you think of a moment during these 18months where you listened hard enough to your peers during discussions and therefore changed your views on a specific topic? if so would you share it?
Can someone visit your class? or see the syllabus?
Are there emails that we can address to Arron, JAck and Melissa?
